{"id":11392,"date":"2021-02-22T02:40:11","date_gmt":"2021-02-22T02:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rccllc.eduhk.hk\/?p=11392"},"modified":"2021-03-02T08:30:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T08:30:46","slug":"a-study-of-hong-kong-literature-under-japanese-occupation-peace-literature-dai-wangshu-ye-lingfeng-and-other-authors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rccllc.eduhk.hk\/en\/a-study-of-hong-kong-literature-under-japanese-occupation-peace-literature-dai-wangshu-ye-lingfeng-and-other-authors\/","title":{"rendered":"A Study of Hong Kong Literature under Japanese Occupation: \u201cPeace Literature\u201d, Dai Wangshu, Ye Lingfeng and Other Authors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>A Study of Hong Kong Literature under Japanese Occupation: \u201cPeace Literature\u201d, Dai Wangshu, Ye Lingfeng and Other Authors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through collecting and reorganising Hong Kong literature published during the Japanese Occupation, including literary works and critiques on newspapers and magazines, such as Huaqiao ribao, Xiangdao ribao, Xianggang ribao, South China Daily News, New Asia and Da Tong Hua Bao, this study examines works of Dai Wangshu (\u6234\u671b\u8212, 1905\u20131950) and Ye Lingfeng (\u8449\u9748\u9cf3, 1904\u20131975) that were written during that time period, and the contention that revolves around \u201cPeace Literature\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This study aims to give a systematic presentation of literary documents of the period of Japanese Occupation \u2014 a topic that has long been neglected, and analyse their literary values; it is also a study of the theory and works related to \u201cPeace Literature\u201d. This research mainly focuses on Dai Wangshu and Ye Lingfeng, though other writers, including Chen Junbao (\u9673\u541b\u8446, 1898\u20131982), Huang Lu (\u9ec3\u9b6f), will also be discussed.
