He Da 何達（1915-1994）studied at the National Southwestern Associated University and Tsinghua University during the war period. He was a strong supporter of the Poetry Recitation Campaign. He migrated to Hong Kong after the war and went on writing poetry. His works include Luomei Shiyu Poetry Anthology 洛美十友詩集, Collected Poems of He Da 何達詩選, Song of a Long Distance Runner長跑者之歌 etc.

Professor Cheng was moderator and commenter of this meeting. From works that were created to revolt against the Qi Liang style, Professor Cheng proceeded to the history of the interpretation of Dao, after which she put forward another enlightening view: the significance of the “modelisation” (典範化 dian fan hua) of texts.

This meeting focuses on political writings of Su Xun, and his sons Su Shi and Su Zhe. 
The speaker gave an analysis of the characteristics of the three’s writings, with an emphasis on the historical background of the North Song classical writing movement.
